Monkey Business SA Portfolio
This wine is from a single vineyard in the cool climate Clare Valley of South Australia. It is made from two traditional Spanish varieties, Tempranillo (70%) and Graciano (30%) and – like the Spanish – we have blended the wines as they have very complimentary characteristics. The Tempranillo brings red currants, sage and savoury characters whilst the Graciano has dark cherry and spiciness along with a bright acidity and strong tannins. Aged for six months in second use French oak and, although drinking well now, will certainly reward cellaring.

the boiling lake, the knight finds himself in
a lovely countryside." from the 1860s edition of Cervantes's "Don Quixote" illustration by Gustave Doré.
Favourable ripening conditions have allowed us to create a style of Fiano that is alive with aromas of
fresh picked guava, red apple and pear.
Venturing into pine – lime and citrus, the complexity of palate is lifted with gentle herbs, honeyed cashew and a rewarding textural finish.

Cabernet Franc 2018
The fruit for our 2018 Cabernet Franc is sourced from the older vineyard block of the Zerk family in the Southern Barossa, near Lyndoch. 'Old Vine' is created to be a rich wine that enhances the natural aromatics and flavours of juicy blackcurrant, fresh picked raspberry and delicate violets. The vibrant mid palate fruit ripeness is influenced by delicate seasoned French Oak. Natural fine tannins ensure generous mouthfeel, and fruit characters continue elegantly, allowing us to achieve our luscious, long finish.
